The beach rocks scattered along the Olympic Peninsula's shores hold a profound truth: they are remnants of the majestic mountains themselves or have journeyed through the relentless forces of glacial movement to their current coastal abodes. Each stone, weathered by time and elements, whispers of its origins, whether borne from the lofty peaks of the Olympic Mountains or transported by the slow march of glaciers to find a new home by the sea.
At Raven’s Tazita, we began our journey by collecting treasures from the sea and while we sometimes knew the names of what we found, explaining their origins could sometimes be challenging.
